Vanilla Cream with Berries

In a small saucepan, heat over low heat until warm but not hot:
2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup super fine sugar
Remove from heat
In another small saucepan, add:
1/2 cup water
1 (1/4 oz.) envelope of unflavored gelatin
Soften. Bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve the gelatin. Remove from heat. Blend into the cream mixture.
In another large bowl, mix together until smooth:
2 cups sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla (paste or extract)
Slowly pour in the cream/gelatin mixture. Whisk until smooth. Pour into an ungreased 4 quart mold. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Berry Toppings


Berries Grand Marnier
Mix together and macerate 30 minutes:
1/4 cup Grand Marnier liqueur, or other favorite liqueur
Serve with Vanilla Cream.

Berries with Sugar

Select:
2 pints of berries
Mix:
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Sprinkle over berries and stir.
