Fruit Treat
- Mix
together in a bowl and set aside:

cups fresh fruit (peaches, blackberries,
blueberries, raspberries, apples or a combination of fruits) |

cup brown sugar |
| 1 |
teaspoon cinnamon
(for peaches use 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon
ginger) |
| 1 |
teaspoon vanilla |
| 1 |
tablespoon fresh grated lemon peel |
- In
9" by 13" pan put:

- Place in a 350° oven to melt.

- Combine in a bowl to make a batter.

| 1 1/2 |
cup flour |
| 1 1/2 |
cup milk |
| 4 |
teaspoons baking powder |
| 1/4 |
teaspoon salt |
| 1 |
teaspoon vanilla |
- Remove pan of melted butter from the oven. Pour
in batter. Do not stir. Top with fruit mixture. Do not stir.
- Sprinkle over top:

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve warm or cold. Serves

Every time this dessert is served, I'm asked for the
recipe. This is my cobbler recipe. I often vary the spice and
the nuts to match the fruit. Taste varies depending on the fruit,
the nuts and the flavorings used.
